        Edwin Kim, MD

Dr. Kim is a medical director of Pennsylvania’s Physicians’ Health Program, which operates within the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He works in an interdisciplinary team to provide monitoring and advocacy services for healthcare professionals coping or concerned with addiction or a mental illness. His favorite aspect of working at the PHP is the collegiality and working with a close-knit team dedicated to serving Pennsylvania’s healthcare professionals. Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is board-certified in adult and addiction psychiatry. He holds additional certification as a medical review officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers. Additionally, he serves as medical director of the Charles O’Brien Center for Addiction Treatment at the University of Pennsylvania and maintains clinical privileges at Penn Medicine. Dr. Kim is also an Assistant Clinical Professor (Affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he teaches medical students, residents, and fellows at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center.
